Children Education

The people of Mthatha, in the Eastern Cape, are yearning for the knowledge of Islam. Subsequently, the Norwood Islamic Centre (The Ayesha Siddiqua Islamic Educational Centre) came into existence; with the aim of empowering the children, youth and ladies of the community through Deen.

The objective of this Institute is to create an Islamic environment that is conducive to learning; and in doing this, nurture and uphold a lifelong Islamic ethos within the community, Insha Allah. It is only through the mercy of our Creator that the Centre is advancing successfully under the auspices of the Ta’limi Board Transkei. There are currently 26 learners attending the Madressah and 30 learners (Gr RR – 4) attending the Islamic school.

Alms For Humanity is currently paying the monthly rental expense for the premises from which the Centre runs. We are also paying for the daily feeding scheme for the learners.
In addition, our team is contributing towards the monthly salaries of 3 of the Aapas at the Centre. This endeavour would not have been possible without the help of our committed donors. Their enthusiasm and eagerness in ensuring the success of this project has been truly heartwarming.

May Allaah Ta’ala grant this Institution barakah and the ability to grow from strength to strength. Aameen.
